Michael Andrews - Mirror

I was recently persuaded by this tumblr post to see the movie "Me and You and Everyone We Know," not knowing what i was in store for. Without being too critical, I'll just say that the movie was good. Paced nicely with some very awkwardly humorous moments. But if you've seen an independent film after the year 2001, you've seen most of them: A male lead who seems beat by the world. Trying his damndest to make things work, all while dealing with two rather petulant sons. A corky female lead who's just too strange for her own good. Not to mention, she's an offbeat artist. Add some natural light and an odd disconnect from reality, and we have an IFC film(I may have been a bit critical).

One thing I can't complain about, is the musical score done by Michael Andrews

Magic Ink®

I want to buy this Magic Ink from Legalize Tokyo, but it might just be for superficial reasons.

Oliver Nelson x Two Assassins of the Darkness

"Two Assassins of the Darkness" has the best kungfu movies intro I've seen In a long time. I bought this flick a few months ago and finally got around to watching it. It's pretty bad. So boring and makes no sense. But the intro will get you super hyped. Grainy ass kungfu, accompanied with some Oliver Nelson jazz. Perfect.

Stop the video around 2 minutes. Thats all you really need.

Ilford SFX 200 Infrared Black & White Film

I'm planing on buying a few rolls of this Ilford SFX 200 Infrared Black & White Film from B & H Photo Video, for a trip I'm going on in January. My girlfriend and I going to the mountains in Virginia(God bless you Groupon), hopefully staying in a cabin. With the scenery I'm expecting to encounter, the black and white infrared film should give me some really impressive shots, with a nice haunting vibe. Dark skies with a glowing landscape or some shit. This film is magic.

Ilford film is only 8 buck a pop and a good alternative to Aerochrome film (which I hear their going to bring back).

11.4.13

Yo, I saw this Prince album just sitting at the thrift store and I had to buy it. You can't just window shop at a thrift store. You just can't. If you don't have the money for something, hide the mother. Because by days ends, it will be gone. Women seem to know this better than men. A randomly placed blouse hanging on the mens pants rack.

When I think about it, albums don't sell too well at theft stores. Mostly due to the fact that their made up of old school church sermons. The covers are full of flames or some shit, and their titled with the most absurd names. Leaving you wondering if and album is about God or Death Metal. But every now and then you'll fine some gems. A few good albums the make you wonder if there is anything new. Whatever...
