So Knxwledge's 8th installment to Hexual Sealings is on cassette now at Stones Throw's online store. Buy one! It's the same as buying 30 red plumbs, in the winter when their out of season. Yeah! I'm not even trying to be clever. I literally bought 10 dollars worth of plums two days ago. So, there you go.

It still hadn't hit me that Knxwldge was sign to Stones Throw until recently when I saw that Mndsgn was signed too. I only really knew of him through youtube and bandcamp, but its just really great to see that things are moving forward for him. The same with Mndsgn. It's very inspiring. But buy the damn cassette though.

Stones Throw decided to release a re-recording of Madvillainy on cassettes (again) for only 10 bucks. Thats like buying chinese food and some Mad Dog 20/20.

You just can't beat the low grade audio quality you get from a cassette.

Michael Andrews - Mirror

I was recently persuaded by this tumblr post to see the movie "Me and You and Everyone We Know," not knowing what i was in store for. Without being too critical, I'll just say that the movie was good. Paced nicely with some very awkwardly humorous moments. But if you've seen an independent film after the year 2001, you've seen most of them: A male lead who seems beat by the world. Trying his damndest to make things work, all while dealing with two rather petulant sons. A corky female lead who's just too strange for her own good. Not to mention, she's an offbeat artist. Add some natural light and an odd disconnect from reality, and we have an IFC film(I may have been a bit critical). 

One thing I can't complain about, is the musical score done by Michael Andrews.

Flying Lotus - Until the Quiet Comes (short film)

Some very atmospheric shit by Flying Lotus that really prompt me into buying his new LP. This short film is very well shot, to say the least, and thats mainly due in part to Kahlil Joseph.

The album is neat. It has some good parts and some bad ones (I'm talking about you Erykah). But at the end of the day, I love this album and I can see where FL was going to with this, even if some songs seemed a bit out of place here and there.
