Dragon Ball X KINTOU

I know its been a while since the last time I posted but I made a few Dragon Ball designs to get printed for my personal collection. I'm doing most of this through Zazzle.com but I might try and find a site that silk screens. Zazzle prints on cloths but they haven't let me down yet. I think so far they look pretty neat. Sucks I can't sell this loot to the public due to copyright issues but at least I can wear it myself. I'm kind of a Dragon Ball fan if you didn't know *wink* *wink*(this is when I give you the link to my DBZ blog: Kintou)  

For though, I really wanted to vent my frustration about the clothing line Billionaire Boys Club and their recent announcement of a Dragon Ball shirt collection (plz click the link). Yo! I have never liked BBC. Like, since they got on the scene I thought their stuff was dated and their designs were simple sketches traced in Adobe Illustrator without using the advance setting. Not to say they don't have a few dope pieces here and there. I found a decent look black crew neck sweatshirt at the thrift from them. But come on! This lukeware shit is what they come out with. You find some crispy looking DBZ shirt from a con or eBay for a much cheaper price then what their going to drop it for. Cuz really! Their going to tax the hell out of it for name sake alone. But I digress...

I've been trying to get more creative recently. Idk. I use to do more design work for fun when I was making $8.50 an hour as a temp for a chemical company. But now, my just fighting for time just to get some sleep. I know my wife feels the same way. Hopefully I'll have something else posted soon.

Hmm. Not bad 10 Deep. Can't really say much about it. Dope little gray scale all over print. I like. Can't cope for 90 bucks though. 

Hyplandshop - Serpent Coach Jacket

Hyplandshop has some clean ass jackets on their  online store. Well, had for the most part. Most of them are out of stock and for good reason. But these nylon Serpent Coach Jacket have a very pleasant look about them. With the Japanese ukiyo-e style snake illustration paralleled with the black and white American flag patch. They just look so right. Priced at $60 bucks, they seems well worth it.

Manwolfs - 24K Solid Gold Hand

These cats at Manwolfs have been trying to sell this damn thing for a minute. A fuckin 24K solid gold hand! I don't really know when they posted this thing on there store, but every few months, I check to see if somebody bought it. Valued at $162,000.00, I'm sweating just thinking about the chump who buys it. And the description:

"One of a kind this hand was the result of mystical chanting and dance. Sliced was the womb of a small child. Freed from his misery was he when the mighty leader reached into the childs innards and released the precious metal."

It's even personally delivered to you by their leader! Now I want to buy it!

Rare Panther

Long lost are the days of my youth. With my "government" job constantly reminding me of the woes of adult hood. Like sand stuck underneath my Dr Scholls insoles. I can't get rid of it. I can't shake that shit loose, and its hindering from being creative. So for the past month, I've been trying to get inspired. Absorbing from my surroundings and other creatives. That being said, Rare Panther is a clothing company I've fancied for a while now. Their clothes don't really fit my motif or style but they always have a very sold collection. Following a very faithful color scheme, all while giving a nod to the Black Panther Party. Their not changing the game in terms of bring anything new to street wear, but you can just feel to potential in their shit. Like, I have to keep a look out for them.

ilthy - Renaissance Printed Tees

These fine ass shirts came out during the winter of 2012, and no one bothered to tell! Clothing company ilthy printed these dope ass redux Renaissance t-shirts, and I'm stuck here waiting on reprints that might never come.

Dutch Clothing - Batfang / Eyeman

UK clothing company, Dutch., has just killed me. My coffin is being lowered into a cemetery plot as we speak, because of these Batman t-shirts. Batfangs and Eyeman, jesus christ, both go for around $32 each (£21). Buy one, or both.

Blanket Man - Jiro Bevis

Artist Jiro Bevis created this beauty and I've been contemplating buying it for almost a year (I just blow the dust off my bookmarks in Safari). It's boss as hell, but I can only find it at Tee Party. If you don't mind translating japanese and converting currency, have at it. I'll just be over here... Jealous and shit.   

XCVB - Spring Collection

XCVB has really impressed me with their 2013 spring line. The UK based clothing brand, utilizing their unique aesthetic, has released a very sold set of goodies. Shirt, hat, and some other shit.   

I've been flowing them on tumbler for almost three years and I can honestly say, they've grown. Changing from mainly pattern based look, to a kind of minimal/subculture style.

I got home from work Saturday night and saw that three packages came for me in mail; one of which being a shirt I bought from my shop on Society6.  

I've had my designs printed by 5 or 6 other online sites, so I know what's what when it comes to bullshit. And with Society6's upload processes(only using jpeg images), and the fact that apparel prints seems more like an after thought than a main driving force to create an account, I knew they weren't going to silk screen a damn thing. Only thing I could do was prayed to Buddha for some high quality laser shit.

Final Verdict: Not bad Society6, not bad. I would nitpick but I want you losers to buy my stuff.

While surfing the inter-web (i.e., cat videos), I came upon a quaint little online store called, The Undg. The shop seems pretty new but they have a descent bundle of cloths on display. Their designs are clean and priced under 20 shillings.

Thats about it... Now more cat videos.

Blood Sweat & Tears - OLD YORK CLASSIC TEE

I bookmarked this Blood Sweat & Tears shirt a few months ago and to my surprise its still in stock at nubian.

The old timey western text complements the design, and the red and black is offset by the cream shirt (me like). I'm not a big fan of the red jersey mesh at the bottom though. Plus the white stroke/outline around the design is really weird to look at.

Bullco Souvenir Shop

I've been surfing through bigcartel's store directory for the past few months and came across a pretty dope apparel store called Bullco Souvenir Shop. The store is very reminiscent of old school 1930 cartoons, which makes it cool and I love it.

I ended up purchasing the Brutus The Bear t-shirt in white (mainly because I thought it looked like an animal in black face) and it just made its way to my doorstep.
